If you are interested in the latest developments in Russian firearms, this book is a must. It covers everything from rifles to grenade launchers, to new ammo. Even, underwater weapons are covered. This book is more of the coffee table type, but it serves as a good reference from people who know firearms!

This book covers Russian small arms ranging from the AN-94, VSS, Groza, and even some of Ivan's underwater guns. The author quite clearly knows his stuff and provides interesting and useful information for those interested in the development and capabilities of Russian small arms. I would like to see another edition of this book in the future, (I would most definitely purchase it) and maybe even a bigger section on handguns. Other than that, I have no real complaints with this book and think it was worth the price I paid, and a welcome edition to my small arms reference library.

The book includes basic knowledge of a wide variety of Russian arms, including many you may have never heard of, however it also includes mathematical errors, hokey illustrations, and limited information on even the most widespread of arms or munitions.

If I only knew then, what I know now. This past school year, I was asked to teach my fifth graders a science unit on Motion and Design. Having very little physical science content knowledge, I was uncomfortable answering any questions throughout the unit. I just wish I would have known about this book before. This book is written in an easy-to-understand and often humorous manner. Each chapter contains a simple experiment with household items followed by a straightforward explanation of the science concepts behind the experiment. I finally understand (a little bit)

I've never even come close to understanding even one of Newton's laws. I only made it through Physics in college because my brother-in-law is a science whiz, and I took the course over the internet. I am so happy to have come across this book though. For the first time in my life, I think I get it! Robertson's explanations address all of my (to what some people may believe) silly questions respectfully - as if I am the one who is logical for questioning and not grasping it! He explains the rationale behind the concepts in a humorous (sometimes laugh out loud) way - and I walked away wishing I could take a stab at that college physics class once more.

Great Great Read...Looking to buy more of this authors books.

Two books in one and a great surprise. The surprise was how satisfying the stories were. Neither story left you feeling like you missed something, these were two complete stories that were interwoven together. Now i'm looking to see if some of the characters have their own books somewhere. These stories were great and the characters were wonderful. Been a long time since i actually laughed out loud while reading a romance.

About the Author

Steve Gladis serves as president and CEO of Steve Gladis Communications (SGC), an executive communications firm focused on helping leaders communicate for success. Offering professional development and training programs, executive coaching and advising, and corporate consulting, SGC abides by one basic value--respect for our clients and our strategic partners. Dr. Gladis has taught hundreds of clients from a host of companies in the Northern Virginia Region, including Cox, Lockheed Martin, SAIC, Anteon, FBI, Justice, DEA, Labor, EPA, The Washington Post, Gannett News, and many others.

A former member of the University of Virginia's faculty, Dr. Gladis served as an Associate Dean in the School of Professional Studies and the Director of the University's Northern Virginia Center. In a previous career as an FBI special agent, he taught at the FBI Academy, was the editor of the FBI Law Enforcement Bulletin, and the chief of speechwriting for the director of the FBI, and held a number of both headquarters and field-agent assignments around the country. He is also a former U.S. Marine Corps officer and a Vietnam Veteran.

Childish Incoherent Attempts On An Interesting Subject - meh!

This book is wasting to many pages on introducing Personality Types and other books do that much better. This goes on. Lot's of pages are wasted by introducing the concepts of Freewriting, Freelisting (Outlining), Freespeaking (Talk) and Freewebbing (Dawing Mind Maps). As if as writers or editors didn't know about them already. Then another bunch of pages are wasted on giving us imagined sample memo's written by "diverse" Personality Types.
There is another problem and that's that this book can't decide which audience it is written for. Is it for you the writer, or for you, who's giving the writer a job in a corporate, that doesn't have "writing" at it's core even (like Television does)? The book can't decide and it's not so much you can see a jumping around of viewpoints, i could almost swallow that, it's a basic conceptual flaw seeping through all the pages. So this book has a split personality not by design but, i guess, because of the inabilities of it's writer.
One last flaw is equating Personality Type not so much with process (how one "writes" "conceptualizes") but with content. Thinkers like to write Technical stuff. Oh now really? This is ridiculous! "Luckily" process is being looked at also, but then, why not stick to this more intelligent scheme?

To sum this up: If you are a writer and have already explored Personality Types this book is not for you. If you are neither, several others are, but most certainly not this one. Do not buy. It's like a paper from a second year university student.
