I am so thankful I read this book... the cat got my tongue in grade 6, when I was laughed at while speaking in class! Painful. Now, many years later, I still dislike (often dread) speaking in public. This book provided me with many useful tools, clever techniques and concise strategies to help me overcome. It is well written, easy to read and through, but mostly, incredibly helpful...like a pep-talk to my authentic self. Thank you. I think I electronically dog-eared almost every page!

A Great Learning Tool

As a writer and an aspiring speaker, I took away a lot of great tips, techniques and resources from this book. There is a great balance between explaining a technique and demonstrating it through story, making the read an enjoyable learning experience. I especially like the ideas for dealing with fear. This is a book I will continually refer back to when preparing and practicing for a speech.

This is a good book for those who have never had to speak in public in front of a small or large group. I used it to brush up on some skills after being away from needing to speak in front of groups for a while. The books format was easy to read and was not full of filler. The author used real world examples that were very helpful.

but in the best of ways

What can I say? Reading this to my son was such a pleasure!

So in short, the book is about and a boy and his (sort-of) friend battling to save a farm of (not so) extinct animals from his friend's crazy taxidermist step mother, who needs to stuff the ultimate animal in order to win the Golden Brain Spoon.

Sound weird? Well it is, but in the best of ways!

Actually, it's about the best Middle Grade novel I've read to my son all year--full of adventure and British wit, and a dash of rawness that grounds this adventure story in reality. It was wonderful the way this author so gently touched on the difficulties of singlemother-hood and struggling financially and the distant father all the while crafting a colorful, funny, story that kids would (and in the case of my son, did) eat up!

The Extincts will be a big hit with middle grade readers and anyone looking for a funny adventure story.
After George loses his bike outside of a shop, he needs a job to buy another one. It looks like a perfect opportunity when he sees a help-wanted notice for Wormestall Farm. But there aren't ordinary animals at Wormestall Farm; with aurochs instead of cows, a unicorn in the paddock, and a mini-kraken in the bathroom, George will have to keep his wits about him. When his friend's stepmother decides that these special animals need to become a part of her taxidermied menagerie, George will have to become a hero and protect them all.

Awesome Read

Its truly one of the best books I've read in a long time really enjoyed the story-line behind the characters here. This story and characters are well thought out and very in-depth, its easy to dive into a good book when the author puts passion and thought into works like this one! I foundd myself clearing half my day just to read it from beginning to end!
Very touching. Highly recommended read! All in all A great read. Will be reading this one again.

Review of "Rogue Breed"

This is definitely not a book for the weak that is for sure. I don't like really dark and brutal stories, but like Wolf Specter as a author. This story has a lot of sadism, implied and sometimes graphic. I know it was necessary to get Jonas to run from his pack. I got really angry at Roran for wanting to give Jonas up and laughed at some of Jonas's remarks. There were a few tears, my toes curled at the violence (not in a good way), and I felt fear and my heart raced as Jonas kept delaying running from his alpha Locke. All in all, I felt a lot of emotion and that is what a good story is about. Throw is the hot sex and you will have the fans of Mr. Specter ecstatic. I did give this book 4 stars as some of the sadistic acts by Locke and his minions were a little unnecessary for a story that was already an excellent read with a HEA ending.

I Loved This Book!!!

This book is about Jonas and Roran. I loved this book. I loved the story line and the characters. I fell in love with Jonas and Roran. I loved all of the twists and turns and thinking that I knew what was going to happen and then finding out I was wrong. I couldn’t put this book down. Thank you, Wolf Specter for another enjoyable book. I received this free book in exchange for an honest review.

Jonas is an Omega of the Mountain Pack and has no love for the Alpha Locke and the way that he runs the pack. Locke treats all of his mates like they are breeding cows and if they survive the mating and then birthing the kids they rarely make it longer than a year with him. Jonas wants no part of that violence. With his heat coming up he knows that he has to decide whether to stay and be bred by Locke or to leave and take his chances by himself. Jonas decides to leave and wants to put as much distance as he can before going into heat so that Locke and his trackers can’t find him or smell his heat.

Roran is the legendary sigma who defied their pack and lives in the wild by himself. He had challenged Locke for the right to be alpha of the pack and lost because Locke had cheated by using magic to make him stronger. Roran has lived by himself for five years and has made a territory close to the Mountain pack and the River pack. He comes across Jonas when he crossed into his territory and stayed in his cave. Roran is convinced that Jonas is a spy and trying to find his home. He doesn’t want Jonas there in his territory and is going to send him back to his pack. But between getting to know Jonas and their instant attraction to each other he decides to keep him around for a couple of days. Roran knows that Locke will be on his way as soon as the war is over and he doesn’t want to be confronted by Locke again.

When Jonas realizes that he is pregnant he knows that he needs to leave Roran before Locke comes, not just to protect his child but also to protect the child’s father. Jonas decides not to tell Roran about the child because he knows that Roran wouldn’t allow him to leave. Throw in Locke’s general Kerrigan finding them just as they are leaving and having him beaten by Roran and then being surrounded by Jaymen’s pack when they passed into their territory. They were saved by Creed who had raised Jonas after his father was killed and then before they could leave again Locke and his hunting party show up. Roran battles Locke and wins and then Creed and Jonas are kidnapped by the River pack on the way back to the Mountain pack to let them know that they had a new Alpha. Ronan was able to smooth things out with the River pack and brought harmony to all of the surrounding packs and peace and happiness back to the Mountain pack. And he took Jonas as his heartmate to be his one and only mate.

Thank you son

My adult son suggested I buy Return on Principle as a way to visit my retirement plans with a fresh outlook. It is an enjoyable read, so much so that I didn’t realize the stories and focus on values was providing instructional information. It’s written in a very casual style for a book on money. I’m just starting to make some changes now, but I feel much more confident than I have in 10 years that I won’t lose money and will have what I need when I retire.

A well-worth adding to one's library OCPD book

To date, this is the best kindle book Ms. Snow has authored on the mental illness of OCPD. She presents very astute Insights she has acquired on the subject of the OCPD male/female relationship, and outlines persuasively how the OCPD person's family history can be instrumental in instilling OCPD traits into the psyche of those prone to this disorder. This kindle book is a fine addition to the understanding of one's spouse or partner who is bound by obsessions, compulsions, and misperceptions about life; as Ms. Snow offers a number of keys to a more fulfilling life between both parties, which is possible when such keys are recognized and implemented.
